ABOUT FAVOUR
FILMMAKER. STORYTELLER. CINEMATOGRAPHER.

Favour Amuele is a Nigerian filmmaker and cinematographer based in the UK, working across narrative film, documentary and impact-driven storytelling.
His work is drawn to human stories — the relationships, experiences and quiet moments that reveal something larger about the people at the centre of them.
With experience across directing, cinematography, camera operation and post-production, Favour approaches filmmaking as both a visual and collaborative process, combining considered composition with an instinct for authentic moments.
His filmmaking journey spans work in Nigeria and the UK, from documentary and development-focused storytelling to narrative filmmaking and camera department roles.
CREATIVE APPROACH
BLENDING VISUAL RHYTHM, EMOTION, AND REALISM.
I am interested in stories that feel human before they feel cinematic. My approach is rooted in observation — finding the emotion within a moment and allowing the camera, performance, sound and environment to work together rather than forcing the audience toward an emotion. Whether working on narrative, documentary or impact-driven projects, I aim to create images that have purpose: visuals that don't simply look good, but help the audience feel, understand and remember the story.

From Nigeria to the UK
My filmmaking experience has developed across two very different creative environments. In Nigeria, I worked extensively across documentary, institutional and impact storytelling, contributing to projects connected to governance, health, development and culture. In the UK, my practice has expanded into narrative filmmaking, cinematography and camera department work, while completing my MA in Filmmaking at Sheffield Hallam University. The combination has shaped the way I approach stories: grounded in people, informed by real experiences, and expressed through a cinematic visual language.
